Personal Eclipse Report
Eclipse Horoscope, by Bernadette Brady
Balancing light and darkness
A solar or lunar eclipse is one of the most impressive natural phenomena that can be observed in the heavens. In the past, eclipses were sometimes seen as an omen for troubled times or impending disaster. A light-devouring demon or dragon was blamed for the spectacular eclipse of the sun.
Today, now that we know how solar and lunar eclipses are caused, we no longer need to fear that light is fundamentally endangered. However, during an eclipse, the Sun and the Moon, the two central lights of a horoscope, form a unique relationship. Therefore, astrologers attach great importance to the symbolic battle between light and darkness.
Solar and lunar eclipses take place every 6 months, and each one carries a specific theme. Some bring blessings and insights, others reveal omissions or errors that require correction. But all of them will show you what lies in the shadow of your own life and wants to be seen. In the Eclipse Horoscope, the author Bernadette Brady explains which topics the respective eclipse season entails, in which areas of life they will manifest themselves and how you can best use the quality of time.
The Eclipse Horoscope discusses at least one solar and one lunar eclipse. It also includes a chart drawing with the positions of the respective eclipses in your birth chart. The interpretation is created for the upcoming eclipse season, unless you select a different period.
The next eclipse season begins in October 2023. There is a solar eclipse in Libra on October 14 and a lunar eclipse during the Taurus full moon on October 28/29.
An eclipse occurs either when the moon stands between the earth and the sun and the moon's body temporarily occults the sun (as viewed from certain points on earth, Solar Eclipse). Or when the earth stands between the sun and the moon and the earth's shadow temporarily darkens the moon (Lunar Eclipse).
There are usually two or three eclipses of the Sun and Moon every year, which always coincide with a Full and a New Moon. Since eclipses take place at approximately the same place in the zodiac roughly every 18.5 years, they are subsumed in so-called Saros cycles, which extend over more than a thousand years. They belong to a certain "family" and carry a theme based on the horoscope of the beginning of this cycle. So, we encounter an eclipse with a different theme every six months.
